abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a methacrylic resin having high impact resistance. A composition comprising 100 parts by weight of methyl methacrylate and 5 to 50 parts by weight of a specific compound is copolymerized in the presence of a thermal radical initiator. The present invention provides a resin that is extremely easy to polymerize, does not impair transparency, and not only greatly improves impact resistance, but also improves heat resistance and chemical resistance.
