Method for controlling particle size of terephthalic acid |
abstract |
(57) [Problem] To easily control the particle size of terephthalic acid by a hydrolysis method of dimethyl terephthalate without employing a pulverizing method or providing a crystallization tank in the process of producing particles. Suggest ways to do it. SOLUTION: When dimethyl terephthalate is hydrolyzed, the hydrolysis reaction temperature, the weight ratio of water / dimethyl terephthalate in the reaction system and the amount of terephthalic acid impurities are controlled to control the average particle diameter of terephthalic acid generated 50μ m or more, the variation is controlled within 10%. |
