titleOfInvention Method of manufacturing field emission display device using carbon nanotube
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a field emission display device using CNT as an electron emission source, which realizes a high yield while suppressing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A step of forming a cathode 2 on a substrate 1, a step of forming a gate insulating layer 3 having a plurality of gate holes 3a on the cathode 2, and a step of forming a gate hole 3a on the gate insulating layer 3. Forming a gate electrode 4 having a corresponding through hole 4a, and forming a conductive column 15 above the height of the top of the gate electrode 4 on the cathode 2 in the gate hole 3a, independently of each other. Attaching the CNTs 17 to the bottom of the flat plate template 18 to be formed, attaching the CNTs 17 to the conductive columns 15 by bringing the bottom of the template 18 into contact with the tops of the conductive columns 15, and firing the conductive columns 15. And lowering the height of the conductive column 15.
