abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Object] For water-based paints containing an emulsion polymer having a urethane component and an acrylic component, capable of forming a protective film excellent in curability, water resistance, weather resistance, flexibility and the like. A resin composition is provided. SOLUTION: Emulsification produced by emulsion polymerization in multiple stages using a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (A) containing a hydroxyl group-containing polymerizable unsaturated monomer (a) in the presence of water and an emulsifier. A polymer, wherein at least one of the emulsion polymerizations is carried out with a diisocyanate compound (b), a polyol (c), a carboxyl group-containing diol (d) and a hydroxyl group-containing polymerizable unsaturated monomer (e). A resin composition for an aqueous coating material, comprising: an emulsion polymer (I) produced by using an unsaturated polyurethane resin (B) obtained by the reaction as a polymer emulsifier; and a melamine resin (II). |
