Optical recording medium |
abstract |
(57) [Problem] To provide an optical recording medium having a long storage life of recording. An optical recording medium has a charge generating ability to generate a pair of charges having different polarities by light irradiation, a charge transporting ability to transport one of the pair of charges, and retains the transported charge. In a base material having charge trapping capability, a nonlinear optical material that changes optical characteristics by an electric field formed between the other charge of the pair of charges generated by light irradiation and one of the held charges is used. An optical recording medium contained therein, wherein the nonlinear optical material is a compound having an asymmetric carbon and has a monocyclic or condensed cyclic cyclic group. |
