abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive image forming method / apparatus capable of outputting a stable image density without contamination of a developer regulating member and a developer carrying member, and a developer used therefor. thing. SOLUTION: A first regulating member 17 for regulating an amount of the developer carried and conveyed by a developer carrying member 15, and a developer accommodating for accommodating the developer scraped off by the first regulating member. The developer accommodating portion has a second regulating member 23 disposed upstream of the first regulating member 17 in the direction of transport of the developer on the developer carrier 15. A second regulating member for regulating the passage of the increased amount of the developer when the toner concentration of the developer on the developer carrier 15 increases and the layer thickness of the developer increases. A developing device, wherein a gap C with a developer carrier is set, and an electric field is formed between the first regulating member 17 and the developer carrier 15. |
