abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a plate by an on-press using a dampening solution and / or an ink, does not require a separate processing device or chemicals, and has the same plate characteristics and lithographic plate as a normal plate. To provide a lithographic printing plate having printing characteristics, and to provide a method of preparing a lithographic printing plate that requires only a relatively inexpensive ink jet printer without complexity. A method for preparing a negative-working lithographic printing plate is disclosed. A printing plate precursor including a lithographic support and an image forming layer is mounted on a printing press. The liquid containing the dissolution inhibitor is image-wise distributed over the precursor by ink jet printing. The precursor is developed on a printing press by applying a fountain solution and ink, thereby retaining the image areas and removing the non-image areas. |
