PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfectant composition (for food packaging materials) capable of stably disinfecting peracetic acid at a substantially low concentration in any case without changing disinfection conditions, equipment, facilities, etc. And a sterilization method using the same. The present invention relates to a disinfectant composition which can be used for disinfecting food packaging materials such as polyethylene terephthalate packaging materials, and a disinfection method using the same. The disinfectant composition for food packaging materials contains the following components (1) and (2). (1) An aqueous solution containing peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid. (2) Esters obtained from fatty acids having 2 to 8 carbon atoms and aliphatic alcohols having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, selected from the group consisting of aliphatic alcohols having 2 to 8 carbon atoms and aliphatic alcohols having a benzene ring. And a peracetic acid bactericidal power improver comprising one or more compounds. |
