abstract | (57) [Summary] (with correction) [PROBLEMS] To provide a reflective material for a liquid crystal display which enables a reflective or transflective liquid crystal display having a high brightness and a high color purity in a display image, and to easily use such a reflective material. And a manufacturing method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A plurality of reflective layers 3 each composed of a multilayer interference film are arranged on a transparent substrate 2 so as to correspond to each pixel, and the area of each reflective layer is set in a range of 30 to 70% of the area of each pixel, and a reflective material is used. The above multilayer interference film is a high refractive index layer 1 which is an alternately adsorbing film made of different kinds of high refractive index organic materials having an interaction. 3 and low-refractive-index layers 14 which are alternately adsorbing films made of different kinds of low-refractive-index organic materials having an interaction. |
