Method for producing optical film and optical film |
abstract |
(57) [Problem] To provide an optical film which does not impair the high contrast characteristic of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A magnetic field is applied to a film material in a step of manufacturing an optical film made of cellulose acetate by a casting method, or a magnetic field is applied to the optical film of cellulose acetate manufactured by a casting method while heating the film. When applied, the optical anisotropy which lowers the retardation value of the film and impairs the high contrast characteristics of the liquid crystal display device can be reduced. |
