titleOfInvention | Method for producing cyclic acetal |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for efficiently producing a cyclic acetal without using a specific oxidation reactant. SOLUTION: As a raw material, α represented by the following formula (1): -Reacting using a ketool and a diol represented by the following formula (2) to produce a cyclic acetal of the following formula (3). In the above reaction, the diol is used in an excess molar amount relative to α-ketool. In the above reaction, the reaction may be carried out in the absence of a solvent using a diol in an amount of at least twice the amount of α-ketool. Further, at least one selected from halogenated hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and alcohols may be used as the extraction solvent. The extraction solvent may have an SP value of 15 MPa 1/2 or less.
