SOLUTION: A method for identifying a desulfurase expression-suppressing gene, which comprises randomly destroying a gene of a microorganism having the ability to degrade thiophenes and selecting a microorganism in which the desulfurase expression-suppressing gene has been disrupted, and A modified microorganism characterized in that the function of the gene for suppressing the expression of desulfurase in a microorganism having the ability to degrade thiophenes is lost. |
