PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preliminarily determining the maximum amount of addition of an organic cationic polymer to a mud having a high water content generated in civil engineering work so that the polymer does not remain in a filtrate in a method of dehydration after adding an organic cationic polymer. . SOLUTION: The methylene blue adsorption amount (mmol / 100 g solid content) of the mud to be treated is measured, and the product of this value and the molecular weight of the constituent cationic monomer in the cationic polymer is multiplied by the reciprocal of the mole fraction of the cationic monomer. To determine the maximum addition amount (% to solid content), and determine the actual addition amount based on the calculated maximum addition amount. |
