titleOfInvention | Thin nickel-metal hydride secondary batteries, hybrid cars and electric cars |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a thin nickel-metal hydride secondary battery having high capacity and improved large-current discharge characteristics. SOLUTION: A container constituent member 1 also serving as a positive electrode terminal, and a positive electrode 2 disposed in the positive electrode container constituent member 1 and including a conductive substrate 3 and an active material-containing mixture 4 held by the conductive substrate 3 are provided. A thin nickel-metal hydride secondary battery comprising: a container constituent member 8 also serving as a negative electrode terminal; and a negative electrode 7 including a hydrogen storage alloy disposed in the negative electrode container constituent member 8. The conductive substrate 3 is exposed on at least a part of the positive electrode surface facing the inner surface of the positive electrode container constituent member 1, The conductive substrate exposed region 3 is characterized by being welded to the inner surface of the positive electrode container constituting member 1. |
