abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroxycarbonyl-halogenoalkyl derivative capable of remarkably improving oral activity such as a compound having low activity by oral administration or an anti-estrogen active compound. SOLUTION: A compound having low oral activity or a group having a mother nucleus thereof, and a compound represented by the general formula (1): (In the formula, R 1 represents a hydrogen atom, R 2 represents a halogenoalkyl group having 1 to 7 carbon atoms, m represents an integer of 2 to 14, and n represents an integer of 2 to 7.) Use a compound bound by a chemical bond, an optical isomer thereof, or a hydrate or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The above compound is useful as a medicament because its oral activity can be remarkably improved by giving it to a mother nucleus such as a compound having anti-estrogen activity.
