titleOfInvention | Method for producing 4-hydroxymethyl-γ-butyrolactone |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing 4-hydroxymethyl-benzene in a relatively mild condition and in a high yield by using a raw material which is easily available industrially. Produce γ-butyrolactones. SOLUTION: Formula (2) (Wherein, R 1 to R 7 each represent a hydrogen atom or a carbon atom 1 Or 6 have the following branched structure represents also an alkyl group, R 8 represents a hydrogen atom or having 1 to 4 acyl group carbons. 4-hydroxymethyl-γ- represented by Butyrolactones are represented by the formula (1) (Wherein, R 1 to R 7 are as defined above), and can be produced by reacting 4-pentenoic acids with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a carboxylic acid having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. |
