(57) [Problem] To provide a method for synthesizing phthalonitrile by ammoxidation reaction of xylene and hydrogenating phthalonitrile to produce xylylenediamine with high yield of xylylenediamine of high purity. I do. A crude xylylenediene obtained by collecting phthalonitrile in an ammoxidation reaction gas in a specific organic solvent and further adding liquid ammonia to separate the organic solvent and ammonia from a hydrogenated reaction product. An extraction operation is performed on the amine using a specific solvent and water. |
