titleOfInvention Diamond coated cutting tool
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] In dry / semi-dry processing, a large surface unevenness is softened and a friction coefficient between a chip and a diamond film is reduced without deteriorating wear resistance of a cutting edge portion of a diamond-coated cutting tool. We provide a diamond-coated cutting tool that is small and improves the welding of work pieces and the flow of chips. A diamond coating film is formed on a cutting edge of a cemented carbide cutting tool substrate and in the vicinity of the cutting edge portion, and then the surface of the substrate including the diamond coating portion is coated with a protective film having excellent lubricity.
