titleOfInvention Zinc alkaline battery
abstract (57) [Problem] It is an object of the present invention to provide a battery capable of improving heavy load discharge characteristics and realizing high capacity without impairing safety. SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a bottomed cylindrical positive electrode can 1 serving also as a positive electrode terminal and a container, a hollow cylindrical positive electrode mixture 2 disposed in the positive electrode can, and a bottomed cylindrical separator 3. In a zinc alkaline battery provided with a gelled zinc negative electrode 4 filled in the hollow portion of the positive electrode mixture, nickel oxyhydroxide coated with cobalt or a nickel-based material was used as an active material in the positive electrode mixture. A zinc alkaline battery characterized by using graphite having an average particle size of 5 to 40 μm as a conductive agent.
