(57) Abstract: Provided is an electrochromic element which does not necessarily require disposition of a spacer material such as beads in a cell in order to produce a cell having a uniform electrode spacing. An electrochromic device in which an ion conductive layer is sandwiched between two transparent conductive substrates, wherein at least one of the conductive substrates has an electrochromic layer, and the ion conductive layer is a polyether (A) a supporting electrolyte and a solvent, (b) a room-temperature molten salt, in a polymer matrix comprising at least one polymer compound selected from a polymer polymer compound, a polyacrylonitrile polymer compound, and a polyacrylate polymer compound. And (c) An electrochromic element comprising an ion-conductive sheet containing at least one or more ion-conductive substances selected from a room-temperature molten salt and a solvent. |
