abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] An image with high image density and high resolution can be obtained. In addition, the present invention provides a liquid developer for an electrostatic image which has good fixability and can be fixed at a low temperature. SOLUTION: The liquid developer of the present invention is a dispersion prepared by dispersing toner particles containing a colorant and a resin as main components in a carrier liquid such as silicone oil, and as the resin component At least an epoxy-modified resin having a predetermined chemical structure is contained. This liquid developer is desirably prepared by dispersing toner particles obtained by heating and kneading a colorant and a resin having a weight average molecular weight of 800 to 10,000 in a carrier liquid. This liquid developer can be effectively used in, for example, an electrophotographic image forming apparatus (such as a copying machine). In addition to the developer, the dispersion is useful as a printing ink, an ink for inkjet recording, a marker ink, or a paint.
