titleOfInvention Method for producing methacrylic polymer
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a methacrylic polymer which can stably produce a high-quality polymer with good productivity and at a low cost apparatus. SOLUTION: A radical polymerization initiator and a mercaptan compound are added to a monomer composition containing methyl methacrylate, and this reaction solution composition is introduced into a complete mixing type reactor (A), where the reaction is carried out at a polymerization temperature of 110 to 170 ° C. The liquid composition was stirred and mixed so that the polymer content in this reaction zone was 35 to 65. The monomer composition is polymerized so as to have a mass%, a radical polymerization initiator is further added to the reaction solution composition extracted from the complete mixing reactor (A), and the polymerization reaction is further performed in the reactor (B). And the temperature of the reaction solution composition is raised by the polymerization heat generated by the polymerization reaction, and the polymerization reaction is stopped by utilizing the equilibrium state of the polymerization reaction. A methacrylic polymer is produced by separating and removing volatiles from the reaction solution composition extracted from the above.
