(57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to methods for altering T cell population composition or increasing T cell numbers in patients with a suppressed or abnormal T cell population or function. These methods are characterized by disrupting sex steroid signaling to the thymus of the patient. The invention also relates to a composition for enhancing an immune response of a patient to an antigen, the composition comprising an adjuvant, an antigen, and a luteinizing hormone releasing hormone analog. Said patients include, in particular, those suffering from cancer, human immunodeficiency virus infection, autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivity diseases or endometriosis. |
