abstract | (57) Abstract: Semiconductor nanoparticles for use in the analysis of biological samples are described, wherein the semiconductor nanoparticles comprise aminodextran bound to at least one nanoparticle of formula (XY) n Wherein X is selected from the group consisting of Cd 2+ , Hg 2+ and Zn 2+ and combinations thereof; and Y is selected from the group consisting of S 2− , Se 2− and Te 2− and combinations thereof. And n = about 50-1000. It further provides a method for the production of these semiconductor nanoparticles, as well as a method for the production of a conjugate consisting of these semiconductor nanoparticles linked to a ligand, and further describes the use of the conjugate in various biological assays. . |
