titleOfInvention | High air exchange rate absorbent article that maintains skin temperature when wet |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe absorbent article includes a vapor-permeable back sheet, a liquid-permeable top sheet positioned in facing relation to the back sheet, and an absorber disposed between the back sheet and the top sheet. The absorber may include a number of highly breathable areas. Further, the absorbent article can include a ventilation layer between the absorber and the back sheet, and a surge control layer between the absorber and the top sheet. The article improves air exchange inside the article during use. As a result, the article can reduce the sensitivity of the skin to microbial viability by maintaining temperature and substantially reducing the level of moisture added to the wearer's skin during use. |
