(57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to Chlamydia, particularly C. pneumoniae strains, using a vector containing a nucleotide sequence encoding a cysteine-rich 60 kDa membrane protein of a Chlamydia pneumoniae strain and a promoter for expressing a cysteine-rich 60 kDa membrane protein gene in a host. The present invention provides a method for immunizing a host, including a human, with a nucleic acid, including a DNA, against a disease caused by infection of the host. Modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention. |
