(57) [Summary]nA commercial scale method for processing corn kernels, the method comprising the steps of: flaking corn kernels having a total oil content of at least about 8%; and from the flaked corn kernels. Extracting the corn oil. Such methods can be performed using methods and equipment typically used to process high oil content corn kernels of soybean and other similar oily seed types. In this manner, a processing plant that flakes oily seeds can be used to extract corn oil from corn. |
