titleOfInvention | Methylidene malonate-based wound suture material |
abstract | (57) [Summary] The present invention relates to a novel wound suture material. According to the invention, the material consists of a biocompatible bioadhesive mixture containing at least 50% by weight of a methylidene malonate-based composition, wherein said methylidene malonate-based composition has the formula (I): Wherein: -A and B independently represent a group (a) or (b); Wherein R 1 and R 2 independently represent a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and n represents an integer of 1 to 5; Malonate and / or formula (II): Wherein A and B are as defined above; one or more methylidene malonate oligomers having a molecular weight of 6,000 or less consisting of repeating units of 40 to 100% by weight, preferably 50 to 100% by weight. A wound suture comprising from 0 to 60% by weight, preferably from 0 to 50% by weight, of one or more methylidene malonate polymers consisting of repeating units of the formula (II) having a molecular weight of more than 6,000 Material. |
