(57) Abstract The present invention provides a new technique for colloid induction in self-assembled monolayers. The present invention offers a wide range of assay possibilities, including chemical or biochemical drug / drug interaction studies. Biologically derived colloids, with or without signaling agents, were used as inter-species interaction probes in non-colloidal structures. The present invention provides a technique for immobilizing colloid particles in various types of non-colloid structures. Aggregates can modify the species of non-colloidal structures, including beads, and are detectable with colloids. This allows assays that are often detectable in the human eye, and that automatically detect changes in the interaction of electromagnetic radiation, such as absorption or light scattering, with colloids. |
