(57) Abstract: Arranged to minimize the thermal resistance on the outer surface of the tubes (56, 61), preferably to less than 5 times the heat transfer resistance inside the tubes (56, 61). A heat exchanger (51) comprising a plate of coated thermoplastic tubes (56, 61). The tubes (56, 61) may be flat or slightly wavy and periodically wavy, or may be offset so that the open space faces every other row of tubes (21, 32). A good group (21, 32) is placed on the tubesheet. This is done to maximize turbulence outside the tubes (56, 61) and to minimize eddies that may trap coolant in the gaps of the tubes (56, 61). . |
