abstract (57) [Summary]nRefrigerant compositions are disclosed that include a hydrocarbon oil return agent that solubilizes mineral and synthetic oil lubricants in hydrofluorocarbon and hydrofluorocarbon / hydrochlorofluorocarbon based refrigerants. This hydrocarbon oil return agent has from 7 to 16 carbon atoms, is present in a small proportion in the total refrigerant composition, and is operated using a hydrofluorocarbon and a hydrofluorocarbon / hydrochlorofluorocarbon based refrigerant. In the system, mineral oil and synthetic oil can be efficiently returned from the non-compressor zone to the compressor zone.
