titleOfInvention | How to diagnose autoimmune arthritis |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nIn order to diagnose the possibility of developing autoimmune arthritis, a method has been proposed to measure the cross-reactivity between an antibody against heterologous type II collagen and an antibody against allogeneic type II collagen. In this method, cross-reactivity is measured by ELISA, preferably in the presence where the presence of bacteria is suppressed. Reagents for performing this measurement are also proposed. For diagnosing early or autoimmune clinical rheumatoid arthritis, methods for determining the ratio of antibody reactivity to xenogeneic type II collagen to antibody reactivity to allogeneic type II collagen are also proposed. In this method, the ratio of reactivity is measured by ELISA, preferably in the presence where the presence of bacteria is suppressed. Reagents for performing this measurement are also proposed. |
