SUMMARY The present invention relates to a separator for use in an electrochemical cell that includes at least one microporous pseudo-boehmite layer. The separator is in contact with at least one protective coating layer located on the anode-facing side of the separator opposite the cathode active layer in the cell. The invention further relates to an electrolyte device comprising such a separator, a current generating cell comprising such a separator, and a method of making such a separator, an electrolyte device and a cell. |
