SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION A method of making a refastenable pant-type disposable absorbent article comprises a pair of side panels (48) that are directed laterally outward from the front and back waist regions of the article. Attaching to the side edge of the absorbent chassis (28) so as to extend between them. One of the side edges of each side panel (48) is permanently attached to the side edge of the absorbent chassis (28), while at the waist area, and the remaining one side of each side panel (48) The edge is refastenablely attached to the side edge of the absorbent chassis (28) at the opposite waist region. The side panels (48) are refastenablely mounted prior to packaging the article to make a pant-type disposable absorbent article. |
