(57) [Summary] To generate terpenoids via a biosynthetic pathway leading to terpenoids via 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate with or without the addition of promising inhibitors Incubation of an aqueous suspension of plastids or plastid-producing cells in the presence of a purified biochemical precursor, preferably in the presence of a combination of ATP and CTP or their materials, Biosynthetic pathway to terpenoids via 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate in plants by measuring the formation of intermediates downstream of -deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate or significant release of triple water A method for sensitive screening for the presence of inhibition of at least one enzyme is described. In addition, labeled biochemical precursors and means and methods of inhibition are described. |
