(57) SUMMARY Provided are improved methods, reagents and kits for the quantification of HLA-DR and / or CD11b expression in peripheral blood cells. Inclusion of a lysosomal amine such as chloroquine during staining stabilizes HLA-DR and CD11b expression. By using a new anti-CD14 conjugate, anti-CD14-PerCP / CY5.5, easy differentiation of monocytes is possible. The improved methods, reagents and kits can be used to assess immune competence in patients exhibiting monocyte inactivation and to direct and monitor immunostimulatory therapies. |
