Apomixis conferred by expression of SERK interacting proteins |
abstract |
(57) [Summary]nAccording to the present invention, the asexual reproduction of a new plant generation is achieved by transgenically expressing a gene encoding a protein that acts on a signaling cascade triggered by somatic embryogenesis receptor kinase (SERK). A method for increasing the probability. Apomict seeds derived therefrom, plants and progeny obtained by germination of such seeds, and genes encoding proteins that act in a signaling cascade triggered by SERK form a further subject of the present invention. |
