(57) [Summary]nPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel biocompatible cardiovascular component or the like.nDisclosed are a cardiovascular component, such as a biocompatible heart valve, and an annular suturing ring for attaching the cardiovascular component to an aortic wall of a host, and a method of making the same. The heart valve contains a biodegradable polymer fiber scaffold of biopolymer fibers and porcine fetal collagen. Also disclosed is a scaffold of biodegradable polymer fibers from a donor aortic heart valve that has been processed without the use of cross-linking chemicals. |
