Aerosolized active drug delivery with controlled flow resistance |
abstract |
SUMMARY The present invention relates to methods and devices for delivering an active agent to the lungs of a human patient. The active drug formulation can be in dry powder form, nebulized, or mixed with a propellant. The active agent formulation is delivered to the patient at a low inhalation flow rate during the initial period, increasing the bioavailability of the active agent. |
