abstract | (57) [Summary]nIn accordance with the present invention, the biological or pharmacological properties of a test material, such as a plant or herbal material, an extract of a plant or herbal material, a natural or synthetic compound, or a combination thereof, are incorporated into a protein of a eukaryotic cell. It can be quantified by observing the pattern of induced structural changes. These structural changes can be proved by protein phosphorylation, protein-protein interaction and the like. The amount and nature of phosphorylation of a protein is qualitatively and quantitatively related to the in vitro concentration of the biologically / pharmacologically active ingredient to which the mammalian cell has been exposed. In addition, the formation and loss of protein-protein complexes can be determined in whole cell homogenates by using non-denaturing electrophoresis and staining of protein or protein phosphorylation. In accordance with the present invention, natural products are supplemented with nutritional supplements and pharmacological products having consistent biological / pharmacological activity without having to identify any chemical components responsible for the biological or pharmacological response. It can be prepared into a formulation. |
