titleOfInvention | Genes involved in resistance to environmental stress |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polynucleic acid containing a coding sequence and / or a gene involved in environmental stress resistance of a plant, comprising preparing a cDNA library containing the coding sequence from siliques, and converting the coding sequence into yeast cells. A method for obtaining a polynucleic acid, comprising screening for a polynucleic acid in the transformed yeast cell, which leads to enhanced resistance or resistance to environmental stress conditions. Furthermore, the present invention relates to isolated polynucleic acids as listed in Table 1, as well as to recombinant polynucleic acids containing them, obtained by such a method. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an isolated polypeptide encoded by the polynucleic acid of the present invention. Also, a method of producing a plant having enhanced resistance or resistance to environmental stress, wherein when expressed in a plant cell, enhances the resistance or resistance of the plant to environmental stress conditions. A method comprising introducing a recombinant DNA comprising a polynucleic acid as described above into a plant. The invention particularly relates to plant cells, plants, or harvestable parts thereof, or propagation material, transformed with a recombinant polynucleic acid as defined above. |
