(57) SUMMARY The present invention relates to the preparation of two novel nucleic acids (Hcl and Hc2) that are homologous to known DEAD box proteins, correspond to RNA helicases, and can be obtained from ciliates. The present invention also relates to the insertion of the novel nucleic acid into a suitable target cell using recombinant DNA technology, and to its use for controlling transcription and translation. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the in vitro or in vivo transcription of novel nucleic acids to produce novel proteins and their use in therapy and diagnosis. |
