abstract (57) Abstract: A method for expressing or improving the level of expression of one or more proteins in a transgenic plant, wherein the plant has two or more protein coding regions and 3 ' Inserting a DNA sequence comprising a promoter region operably linked to a terminator region, wherein the protein coding regions are separated from each other by a DNA sequence encoding a linker propeptide, wherein the propeptide Is a method of providing a cleavage site where the expressed polyprotein is post-translationally processed into component protein molecules. In particular, a signal sequence is also included so that post-translational processing takes place in the secretory pathway of the plant. Also described are linker sequences and DNA constructs suitable for use in the method.
