abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a current generating cell with improved safety. SOLUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte for a current generating cell has a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having viscosity and internal resistance inserted therebetween, wherein the electrolyte comprises one or more of (a) A solvent; (b) one or more ionic salts; and (c) two or more unsaturated aliphatic reactive moieties per molecule, and soluble in the one or more solvents, wherein the electrolyte Contains a polyfunctional monomer that rapidly polymerizes when heated to an onset temperature greater than 100 ° C., thereby increasing the viscosity and internal resistance of the electrolyte.
