titleOfInvention Detection of apoptotic cells in living organisms
abstract (57) Abstract The present invention relates to a method and a kit for detecting apoptotic cells in a living nematode by exposing the living nematode to a vital dye that stains apoptotic cells and detecting the apoptotic cells. Applications of this assay include methods to identify agents, conditions or genes that modulate apoptosis. The invention also includes a method of screening for mutated nematodes that exhibit altered apoptotic cell death.
