Therapeutic compositions that produce an immune response by altering an antigen |
abstract |
SUMMARY The present invention relates to methods and compositions for stimulating a host immune response, particularly for the treatment of cancer. The methods and compositions according to the present invention use a binding agent, such as an antibody, to generate an immune response to a predetermined soluble antigen. According to the present invention, the binder-soluble antigen complex changes the immunogenic status of the host by producing new immunogens that can be recognized by the immune system. This results in a humoral and / or cellular immune response. |
