| abstract | (57) Abstract: A pre-fixed absorbent article includes a pair of first fasteners disposed on opposite side edges of one waist region. The first fastener overlaps the other waist region of the absorbent article and removably engages to provide the absorbent article. The pre-fixed absorbent article further includes a pair of passive side bond points located inside the first fastener on one waist region. The pair of passive side join points removably attach the overlap of one waist region to the other waist region and assist in maintaining the pre-fixed absorbent article in a pre-fixed state. The side connection points also prevent the waist regions of the article from moving relative to each other during use. The article can also include at least one second fastener disposed on one waist region of the absorbent article. The second fastener removably engages the other waist region to further conform the waist region to the wearer's body after the pre-fixed absorbent article has been mounted on the wearer's buttocks.
