(57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides an assay for determining the biochemical fitness of a biochemical species in a mutated replicating biological entity as compared to its predecessor. In addition, the invention provides a continuous fluorometric assay for measuring the anti-HIV protease activity of a protease inhibitor. The invention also provides a method of administering a therapeutic compound that reduces the likelihood of developing drug resistance in therapy. |
