abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding composition comprising a blend of a thermoplastic polycarbonate resin and a thermoplastic polyester resin as a main component and exhibiting outstanding impact resistance, good processability and transparency. A ductile thermoplastic resin comprising a compatible resin blend of a ductile resin containing more than about 60% by weight of an aryl polycarbonate repeating unit and a polyester resin, wherein the ratio of polyester resin to ductile resin is about 60%. : 40 to about 85: about 15, and the polyester resin is represented by the following formula I: A ductile thermoplastic resin consisting essentially of a polyester of the formula wherein R and R 1 are cycloalkyl or cycloalkyl-containing groups. |
