titleOfInvention Dye scavenging articles
abstract SUMMARY A dye scavenging article (148) is provided for trapping extraneous disordered dyes from wash and rinse water during a washing process. The dye scavenging article (148) is configured to substantially prevent it from being entrapped or mixed into the fabric. The dye scavenging article (148) may include a buoyant or buoyant member (152). A reinforcing member (164) may be provided to keep the dye scavenging article (148) open during the washing process. This configuration allows the dye scavenging article (148) to be exposed to the entire volume of wash and rinse water during the washing process, thereby increasing effectiveness.
